Why We Like The KingCamp 5.5 inches Thick Air Sleeping Pads with Pillow

Getting away from it all doesn't have to mean sacrificing good sleep, which is why we doze off soundly on our KingCamp Sleeping Pad. Thanks to the rippled design, we stay centered on the pad, even if we're tossing and turning. After waking up refreshed and ready for the day, we use the twist valve to quickly deflate our beds.

THIS SUCKS

I’ve had this mattress for four months now, the first month was amazing but then i noticed it wont hold air and it got worse as time went on. There are no holes or leaks or defects. I thought it was the weather change but i tested it in a temperature controlled environment. Instantly when i laid on it after being fully blown up it was already deflating but there are no holes and i have always kept it in a clean area with nothing pokey. Do not recommend. Does not hold up to “quality and comfort” expectations as they describe. Goes fully deflated within an hour and half of laying on it and now i have back problems.

Recommended! A++++

I bought this as an upgrade for our kayaking trips. It was extremely comfortable and wish I would’ve bought it years ago! I love that it’s small and light weight.

Great mattress

This air mattress was very comfortable and the anti-roll worked great! It is quite thin and i worried that it wouldn’t be comfortable but it was. My only complaint is that the valve for inflation doesn’t have a good flap on it so when you remove the pump a lot of air is lost. After a few tries we were successful with proper inflation. .

Slept like a baby

Once we got these pads blown up, they were comfortable and held up over a few nights of tent camping. Great for the price.

Compact when folded.

We just spent two weeks camping in Colorado Rockies. Very comfortable mattress, did not lose air overnight and packs up very small which is handy on a motorcycle. You do have to be quick putting the cap on as the check valve does not close off as quickly as some I have had. Not a big enough issue to not rate as 5 star.

A way to enhance our bedding in our Aliner camper.

I received the lightweight King Kamp air mattress in good condition and within a few days.
As advertised it inflated easily with our battery powered pump, a few minutes at best. Remained fully inflated and we slept with no shoulder or hip pains. We currently use it in our Aliner camper to enhance our bedding. The best part of the product is you can actually roll it back up and easily put it in its storage bag. Small in size, easily storable and will purchase another one for our additional sleeping area.

Best pad out there for comfort

Most comfortable sleeping experience I’ve had while camping. I camp almost every weekend spring through fall. So sleep is important to me while camping. It doesn’t lose air in the night! I t takes a 3-5 minutes to inflate the old fashion way. The valves make it so you can take a breather if you need to with out losing air. It’s super thick, about 4.5 inches off the ground. I don’t inflate it all the way, about 85%. Other wise, it’s too firm. When I wake up in the morning, it’s still inflated to the same level it was when I went to bed. I can sit on it roll around, what ever. It don’t lose air! It’s sooo comfy!
**It does take up more space and weighs more than other air pads. For me, that’s kind of important as a beginner backpacker. However, as someone with chronic neck/back pain, I prioritize comfortable sleep over all.

Easily inflatable

Easily inflatable and light to carry, not as thick as I wished but still a good buy for small camps

Very comfortable

Just got this and tested it out. It's very comfortable and light weight. I'm just under 5'11" and 195 lbs. This thing stayed fully inflated just fine even when turning over.

Where it counts, this product works just as it should. The only thing that bothered me a little is that it is a bit of a pain to deflate. This might be partly the nature of any such product, but to get the thing back in it's little bag, you really have to have ALL the air out and fold it just right. Even using the deflator portion of my electric inflator/deflator, this took a little more effort than I'd have liked. Is this a big deal? Not really, but you should know. They also say you can inflate this by mouth. I guess you could, though that seems like it would be a bit of a challenge.

Bottom line: In spite of my one slightly negative comment, I'd get this again. I have to give it 5 stars because that's what it rates for it's purpose. I can't give a lower rating just because of one tiny little nitpick thing that bugged me a bit, however I had to mention it because that's what reviews are for. Maybe I'm doing something wrong in deflating it. If someone has thoughts here, let me know.

Thick and comfy

It takes a while to get this blown up without any sort of pump mechanism included in the purchase, but once you get it inflated it is very comfortable and gets you quite a bit up off the ground. I think the extra effort to get it blown up is worth it if it means you get a good night's sleep!

Great but not as practical for camping

I love it! Super comfy and thicker than most. Only wish I didn’t need an air pump to blow up as need this for camping

Comfort is the name of the game!

I love camping, but I dislike sleeping a teensy mattress when I go backpacking. Thermarest and the like does not quite cut it as I get older. This mattress is lightweight and fits easily into my pack. After blowing it up, I decided that I like this camping mattress a LOT, it is super thick, and keeps my hip off the ground (I am a side sleeper). Please beware that it takes a bit of breath to blow it up all the way, so factor that in to your equations. Its not a self-inflatable. I don't mind that too much because it is so thick and comfortable. It's an affordable option. I love the side baffles, and I think this is definitely going to be my go-to from now on.

Awesome sleep pad

I usually use the sleeping bags on the floor or an air mattress when camping, but this is a great step up. Using this pad is really helpful because I can easily put it over my cot to get some extra back and neck support. The topper is soft and supportive that beats sleeping on a flat surface. Great product, also really good for having guests over. I would order this again!
