I learned that the best way to inflate it is either to blow into it or use an electric pump. Otherwise you're waiting a few hours for it to self inflate to about 80% firmness. There is no real sealed attachment for the pump so I use my palm as the seal. When it's 100% inflated it is awesome. It's great for wicking sweat. I use another 2" inflatable mat underneath it for comfort. It seems redundant but I've had many large department store air mattresses deflate on me.
I bought this mattress instead of the cheap air mattresses that squeeks and makes a giant ruckus with each body movement. Ito use for the Canada day long weekend camping trip around Harrison hot springs. It fits a tent rated for 3 people, I had a about roughly 6" along an entire side of my 3-person outbound tent. At night temperatures werent too bad, a hoodie and pair of sweats would keep the night chills at bay. So this mattress is damn amazing. It's comfy, kept me high enough off the ground to avoid the midnight chills. Mind you, I did have a 3 season sleeping bag and a yoga mat to keep me extra comfy. Rolls up nicely to throw in the car. I can't see this being brought on a back country trip as it is quite large and heavy to lug on your backpack. No pump required, so that's one thing less to bring out. I can't wait to go camping again.
I do strongly suggest inflating it once or twice before actually camping with it. I believe the first time took me a few hours for full inflation. I feel like it inflates progressively quicker.
Pros: comfortable with sleeping bag, ~1.5" off the ground, self inflatable, doesn't take too long to delfate, perfect for car camping or driving to campsites, comes with patch, spacious ( more than enough space to fit two 5'9" people and a Frenchie ) warm. Doesn't make any noise compared to air mattresses.
Cons: not for back packing, little heavy, takes a while to inflate the first time (it is highly recommended to inflate it prior to use), bit pricey but worth it. The "pillow" padding is useless, but helps me. Indicate which side is the right side up.
Worked a few times then one of the valves started to leak constantly. No bueno.

My wife and I used this for camping in the woods and camping at music festivals (Electric Forest!). I let the mattress inflate with the valves open for a few minutes and then came back and closed one valve and pushed a few breaths of air into the other one to give it some extra pressure before I closed it. It doesn't feel at all like you're sleeping on the ground. It doesn't bounce around like an inflatable air mattress. The foam fills the space pretty nicely and gives you extra support and stabilized the entire thing so it doesn't bounce around. It packs up extremely fast and comes with a nice bag and is easy to carry around.
I can't say enough good things about it. I actually slept better than I would at home on my memory foam mattress. I'm a guy with bigger shoulders at 210 lbs and it was totally comfortable.
Just received this sleeping pad recently. I was looking for a single, wide pad that would fit well in the back of my Ford Expedition for spring and fall car camping. I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase! It is a perfect fit side to side with no room to slide around yet still has room for table/divider to be used near back hatch, which is exactly what I was looking for. Even though the pad does self inflate, I preferred to add additional air by manually inflating it as well, which will allow for a more padded feel. I also needed a tougher pad that will hopefully withstand my 60 pound dog’s paws from puncturing it. I will update if it passes the dog test once I use it for an overnight trip. So far seems like it’s worth the money and shipped very quickly! It also comes with two pillows unattached so I probably won’t use those as I already have preferred camping pillows, although they could be used as inflatable seat cushions as well.
This pad is awesome despite the fact that you might have to blow it up a bit. We are somewhat seasoned car campers that gave it up due to aging - we are 50+ - and sleeping on the ground not an option - compact car so no room for additional stuff. This bag is supper compact when deflated - although a bit bulky and large for hiking and backpacking. We slept so comfortably and it helped keep us warm through our temp drops - gotta love Oregon! Highly recommend for car campers or seasoned backpackers who can carry extra weight and don't want to slide apart in the night :-)
I bought this for my husband and I for Camping it is very comfortable and easy to set up. No worries about it deflating in the middle of the night. I should add we are both over 200 lbs and it was amazing. My husband also used it in the back of our car to sleep and said it worked and fit perfectily.
Easy to inflate/deflate. Nice cushioning. We bought these as pads for the pull out sofas in our RV, and our RV guests say the beds are much more comfortable! And they are easy to store when deflated.
My son has a bad back and needs to sleep on a harder/firmer mattress. Regular beds in my house dont work, so when he was coming to visit with his wife I purchased this in the hopes it would work for both of them, comfort-wise. They were both very happy sleeping on this mattress and now I have a comfortable bed for them when they come to visit!
i love this. My wife got it for us because we were tird of just sleeping on a cot. This was the ticket. very happy!
Best thing Ive bought! Its extremely easy to set up and has been on many camping trips with me.
It is much more convenient to sleep on this one instead of the regular mattress. A useful advice: do not blow it too hard, otherwise it will become very firm, leave some space instead. Also pillows are very nice and compact.
I used this 2 times now taking my 3 years old camping. It is so comfortable that I don't even feel like I am camping. It's way better than using 2 of the 1 person pads because these seem to slide around, especially with my daughter tossing and flipping around throughout the night. It's a little bit bulky but perfect so it's perfect for car camping,It's really the greatest investment for our camping gears!
Excellent customer service - product performed well and was much more comfortable than using blankets and sleeping bags as the buffer between the ground
This is super easy to use and as comfortable as a 4 cm thick pad could be. It packs up nicely and seems very durable. The brass fittings are really smart and strong. I have used other sleeping pads in the past with plastic fittings and they sometimes stick. These threaded ones are really nice. The thing I like most about this is the fact that it’s less than half the cost of the big name brand types.
My son and I use this for our camping trips. It is thin but padded enough for comfort. We lay a comforter on top of it then our sleeping bags. It’s very easy to set up a little harder to wrap back up but you get the hang of it.
I like the chair because it sits higher and I don’t struggle to get out of it. The only thing I wish it had was a cup holder or a shelf that you could add to the side to hold your things like the anti gravity chairs have.
I absolutely love this chair, I have been looking for a heavy duty chair for quite some time. It was not until I found this chair that I was totally happy with the comfort, ease_of_use and it’s sturdy build. My wife and I both ordered one and are totally happy with these chairs.

It was just as described and since my camping buddy is my boyfriend and we are 58/60 years old, we thought it comfortable and it was better than the hard rocky yards.

I had this model for about a year now and works great. I tossed out my air bed and now I use two of this side by side in my tent. The kids like it because it’s low to the ground.
Took it camping.. laid it on top of rocks, and didn’t feel the rocks at all. Very comfy but please do refill the air the next day as it does deflate a little
Used this sleeping pad for a week in the Nevada desert and not once did I have to re fill it with air. Holds up to high end brands like thermarest.
This sleeping pad was great! We had previously borrowed one from my dad and after sleeping one night my hips and back hurt. We took this one camping last weekend and I slept GREAT both nights. Hubby liked it as well. So happy to have a comfy way to sleep when camping!
Makes your sleeping experience so much better than a basic foam pad. It’s super easy to inflate and deflate. The only downside is that it’s heavy.. when you have weight of all the other items you carry it can be a bit much.If weight is an issue I suggest something else.
The mat itself seems to be very good quality (time will tell) my review is mostly to let the Yukon owners know how well this mat fits, width and length are just right. at 1 1/2 inches it wasn't enough for my wife and myself. We bought another one and they stack perfect with no sliding around. This give us a full 3 inches of comfort without bottoming out. BUY TWO you will thank me!
Perfect for camping!! Easy to inflate unlike air mattresses! Very comfy
Comfortable and easy to clean.
